Finda is a Senior Policy Associate responsible for managing a portfolio of initiatives centered on public safety, community engagement, restorative justice, and gender-based violence. Her work involves grants management, strategic planning, and collaborating with government agencies and nonprofit organizations, as well as facilitating focus groups. She also supports grantees by identifying challenges and offering solutions through effective risk management. Before joining ISLG, Finda served as the Program Manager for Seedco’s Bridges to Careers program, where she implemented a $4.3 million re-entry grant from the Department of Labor. Additionally, she worked at the New York City Housing Authority, overseeing service coordination for public housing developments serving over 11,000 households in Upper Manhattan, Queens, and the Bronx. In that role, she managed partnerships between public and private organizations and implemented the agency's referral system to connect residents with essential services. Finda also worked as a Community Coordinator with the New York City Department of Education, ensuring equitable access to education for students facing housing insecurities. Her experience includes participating in various restorative justice initiatives, such as the Harlem Community Justice Center's Youth Justice Project and the Sheltering Arms youth detention center, which is managed by the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. Finda holds a Master of Public Administration from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, and she has a passion for fashion and dance.
