Kate Jassin is a Research Associate at CUNY ISLG, where she conducts research and evaluations around equity in government programming and policy, and community engagement and impact. Her portfolio includes a disparity study assessing the experiences of minority and women-owned businesses in contracting with NYC agencies, data capacity training and technical assistance for CBOs engaged in community violence intervention, and a process mapping of City agency and support service responses to reports of domestic violence.

She also currently holds teaching positions as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Psychology at New York City College of Technology and a Part-time Lecturer at The New School for Social Research and The New School for Public Engagement, where she teaches courses in personnel/organizational psychology and social psychology. Prior to joining ISLG, Kate was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Social and Political Psychology Lab at the New School for Social Research, where she conducted survey research on the ways in which implicit biases shape public policy decision-making. Additionally, she has supported various nonprofit organizations and government agencies as a research consultant. Kate holds a Ph.D. in Social Psychology from the New School for Social Research. Outside of work, you can find her in the park with her wife and dog or planning her next (ill-advised) home improvement project.
