JTI Hosts: CSG: Supporting Crisis Stabilization for Youth and Young Adults During Reentry

Research shows that youth with behavioral health needs are significantly overrepresented in the justice system, with nearly 70 percent having a diagnosable mental health disorder. This highlights the importance of effective case planning for youth and young adults. This work provides guidance for justice professionals on how to better engage, collaborate, and partner with systems that can address reentry needs and prevent crises that may lead to future justice system involvement. The guidance is informed by research and lessons learned from Bureau of Justice Assistance-funded programs focused on reentry and crisis stabilization for youth and young adults.

This webinar is presented by The Council of State Governments (CSG) Justice Center. The CSG Justice Center helps leaders in every state make communities safer and healthier. By combining trusted data, practical strategies, and cross-systems collaboration, we create second chances, reduce harm, and transform lives. We help state, local, and community leaders in all three branches of government and practitioners across the country identify and implement data-driven solutions for complex justice challenges.
