Bella Hung is a Research Analyst who works across various ISLG projects to support performance measurement, program evaluation, and data capacity-building. In this role, she conducts research and leverages data in partnership with community-based organizations and criminal legal system stakeholders to inform effective programming and advance equity. Her current projects center around restorative justice, gang violence prevention, and civic engagement.

Prior to joining ISLG, she interned at the Vera Institute of Justice where she helped analyze jail data, research bail-setting practices, and highlight public health alternatives to incarceration. In the past, she also supported research projects focused on substance use after re-entry and death in custody reports. She holds an M.P.H. from Columbia University and a B.S. in Human Biology & Society from UCLA. In her free time, Bella enjoys reading and writing, going to the movies, and collecting little trinkets.
