HANNAH EDDY

Hannah Eddy is a Policy Associate at the CUNY Institute for State & Local Governance, where she works with government and nonprofit partners to improve the delivery and quality of social services and develop initiatives focused on violence prevention and community safety.

Prior to joining ISLG, Hannah worked at the Vera Institute of Justice, where she supported policy and communications initiatives related to higher education in prison, access to housing post-release, and restorative justice for young adults in prison. Hannah's experience also includes advocacy and communications roles at Womankind and Sanctuary for Families, where she supported budget and legislative advocacy to strengthen services and protections for survivors of gender-based violence. 

Hannah holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) from CUNY Hunter's Silberman School of Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts from American University in History. On the weekends, Hannah enjoys cooking, walking around Brooklyn Bridge Park, and catching a movie, live music, or a comedy show.
