Lisa McMonagle is a Policy Associate with the ISLG Operations team who works on a range of projects in higher education operations, policy research, and municipal finance. She manages key components of ISLG’s work with CUNY through the ERI Initiative – including leading the implementation of ISLG’s Financial Planning Fellowship for CUNY Administrators, managing ISLG’s work within CUNY’s shared services initiative, and by providing detailed policy analysis and research in the higher education space. She additionally served as the project lead for ISLG’s engagement with NYCHA and provides support for ISLG’s municipal finance work with cities including Baltimore, Ottawa, Canada, and Bratislava, Slovakia. Before ISLG, Lisa worked in sustainability and in homeless services and served as a Legislative Fellow in the House of Representatives. She holds a BA in Political Science and Environmental Studies from Santa Clara University and an MPA from the NYU Wagner School of Public Service.
