Mary Huynh is a Research Project Director at CUNY ISLG where she manages portfolios related to NYPD reform and community violence intervention.  In this role, she works closely with local government agencies and community organizations to build capacity and to provide training and technical advising. Prior to joining ISLG, Mary was the director of the Office of Vital Statistics in the Bureau of Vital Statistics at the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH). Before her tenure at the DOHMH, Mary was an assistant professor in the Department of Health Sciences at Lehman College, CUNY and served as the Program Director for the MPH Program. Mary has a BS in Biology from George Washington University and a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Pittsburgh. She is mom to two teenagers and is constantly searching for the best banh mi in New York.
