OTGONJARGAL OKHIDOI (OTGO)

Otgonjargal Okhidoi (Otgo) is a Research Associate who works on research and data capacity-building efforts that support policymakers, practitioners, and local government agencies of criminal legal systems across the country. She plans and implements quantitative components of comprehensive research projects aiming to inform effective strategies and decision-making processes at various points of criminal legal systems using large-scale administrative and publicly accessible quantitative data. She oversees data collection processes and data quality control in collaborative efforts with state and local government agencies and provides data capacity support. Prior to joining ISLG, Otgo was an Associate Research Scientist at New York University (NYU) and co-managed an international randomized control trial (RCT) to assess the impact of a community-based education model on access, learning, and public perceptions of government competence. She also served as a consultant for the American Institute for Research (AIR) on multi-national educational research study. Otgo holds an M.A. and Ed.M. from Teachers College of Columbia University and a Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh. An ardent advocate for parent involvement in student learning, she serves on her local public school’s PA Board. On the weekends, she is a constant fixture in the front row at her son’s basketball games.
