Saffi Hadi is a Policy Analyst on the ISLG Operations team who works on a diverse set of projects related to municipal budgeting and finance, and higher education. Their role includes providing analysis, policy recommendations, and best practices for municipalities. They also support the team’s effort in the ERI project; modernizing and finding efficiencies in CUNY’s operations. They played a key role in the development of the Balance of Payment report, a significant undertaking to estimate the contribution of revenues into the New York State Budget from New York city’s residents, works and businesses and looking at distribution of spending in New York State to New York City’s budget. Before working at ISLG they worked for the Coalition for Asian American Children and Families (CACF) where they advocated for policies to support NYC’s APA population. Saffi holds a B.A. in Economics from SUNY Stony Brook University. Their ideal weekend includes going out to a new restaurant or trying a new recipe.
