Samantha Parker is a Research Associate who works at the intersection of data, policy, and justice to support evidence informed initiatives to advance equity and government effectiveness. She provides technical support on the collection, management, and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data for a variety of projects across the institute. Before joining CUNY ISLG, Sam worked at the People, Place, and Health Collective studying community engaged overdose prevention efforts in Rhode Island. Sam completed her Master of Public Health at Brown University and her BA at the University of Toronto. Sam is proud to be trained in a community based participatory research tradition and is grateful to her mentors for passing on their invaluable knowledge to her. In her free time, Sam enjoys cooking elaborate meals, listening to Carly Rae Jepson and searching for the city’s best slice of chocolate cake.
